About Us
KEY Choices provides a drug prevention program based on science and facts that empowers junior high & high school students to make healthier, drug-free choices.
We are an educator-run organization with a science-rich curriculum. We developed our curriculum to address the needs and circumstances of Oklahoma students in grades 6 - 12. We have also written a curriculum for understanding how marijuana affects the adolescent brain and the risks of vaping, as well as alcohol and its effects on the adolescent brain. All of this takes place in five 50-55-minute class periods.
Our Oklahoma-certified teachers have decades of classroom experience and have been explicitly trained to guide students through this vital information. Because KEY Choices is funded by donors, we provide the program and teach it at no cost to schools.
KEY Choices was founded in 2022 by Oklahoma educator Cathy Crawford.
