About Us

KEY Choices provides an evidence-based, science-rich drug prevention program that empowers junior high & high school students to make healthier, anti-drug choices. 

We are an educator-run organization with a science-rich, evidence-based curriculum founded on the DEA Opioid Prevention Program content. We customize it to address the needs and circumstances facing Oklahoma kids. We have also written a curriculum for understanding how marijuana affects the adolescent brain and the risks of vaping. All of this takes place in four 50-55-minute class periods.

Our award-winning staff has decades of classroom experience and has been explicitly trained to lead students through this vital information. Because KEY Choices is funded by donors, we provide the program and teach it at no cost to schools.

KEY Choices was founded in 2022 by Oklahoma educator Cathy Crawford.
